Since graduating from the prestigious Rycotewood Furniture centre with a First Class Honors Degree in Furniture: Design & Make Daisy has shared her passion through teaching, television and radio.

Daisy’s background in teaching is diverse. Three years teaching woodwork to the homeless for the charity Crisis has shown her how important craft can be to people’s mental health and wellbeing. Daisy has more recently worked as a Woodwork teacher to extremely vulnerable teenagers at the charity RAW, a challenging but rewarding role which aims to give young people a better chance in life.

Daisy is also a qualified ski instructor with experience in teaching people of all ages- from snow ploughs to dovetails she loves sharing her passions with others.

“From teaching carpentry to the homeless at Crisis to teaching skiing to children and adults in Japan, a traditional hand tool woodworking class for IT experts to an intensive designing and making course for women. I enjoy sharing my passions with others and enabling them to experience them too.”

Andrew choose to study Fine Furniture for two years prior to his degree in Furniture Design & Make at the prestigious Rycotewood Furniture Centre.

Andrew is man of precision and detail and holds the 2017 national award - Medal For Excellence for his works.

During his five years of full time furniture education he mentored on the City and Guilds Fine Furniture Making course helping improve the accuracy level other budding furniture makers. When it comes to techniques and nifty accuracy tips Andrew has the patience and the know how to really up your skill level or set you off on the right track so you can exercise those good habitats from the get go.

Craft and making is good for wellbeing and mental health and Andrew is keen to offer future students an escape from their day to day life; to immerse themselves in the world of wood, and offer an excellent and rewarding crafty experience.
